RSE Day: Virtual sessions for schools

A national day to celebrate healthy relationships and positive sexual health education for schools and families.

With sessions throughout the day, the RSE Day live stream invites schools to drop in and participate in a series of presentations and activities. Pupils can take part in sculpture, poetry and craft lessons (following a friendships theme), create collages inspired by safe relationships and submit RSE themed artwork for a live gallery showcase at the end of the day!

Founded by Nottingham City Council in 2018, RSE Day has grown into a national celebration as UK schools plan events and share good practice on teaching RSE. The day’s objective is to highlight that good quality RSE needs to happen all year round, with a planned curriculum, and in line with the Department for Education’s statutory framework.

Register to attend (for FREE) – recommended for primary and secondary school staff and their pupils.

The agenda will be shared ahead of the event, allowing you to choose which sessions are relevant for your Key Stage. For schools that can’t attend on the day, the live stream will be available on YouTube shortly after the event.

Effective RSE is the responsibility of both parents and schools, it is good practice to engage parents/carers in your plans for RSE Day and encourage involvement. If you are covering any elements of sex education on the day you should follow your usual procedures regarding the rights of the parent to withdraw.
