Global edtech leader Discovery Education today unveiled a collection of digital resources to help primary school teachers spark pupil curiosity as the new term begins.
Available via Discovery Education’s daily learning platform Espresso, the ready-to-use resources empower teachers to kickstart spring learning with engaging, ready-to-use content.
The new term resources from Espresso by Discovery Education include:
- Science Lessons and Videos – exciting new content to engage pupils with practical science, including a series of Hands-On Activities videos plus 50 new lessons exploring topics such as light, the water cycle and plants
- Calendar Picks – new mini Lessons to ignite curiosity and help schools mark events including Burns Night, The Lunar New Year, Holocaust Memorial Day, National Storytelling Week and more
- News Bites – weekly news bulletins and in-depth specials produced in partnership with ITN to engage pupils with real-world topics such as the cost of living and parliamentary democracy
- Wellbeing Resources – a collection of resources for all Key Stages, covering topics such as empathy, mindfulness and more. New to Key Stage 2 is a chapter from Bear Grylls’ book Mind Fuel, offering practical wellbeing insights for RSHE teaching
- Exploring My World – lessons and films to help EYFS pupils explore the world around them. From using technology safely to exploring foods, celebrations and artefacts from around the world, the resources support children to build relationships, understand different cultures and get to grips with technology.
